I’m a graduate of the Bachelor of Communications Studies degree program with a major in Journalism from MacEwan University in Edmonton, AB. During my time as a student, I participated as a contributor and social media editor for Enthuse, MacEwan’s student-run entertainment website, from 2017-2018. Enthuse allowed me to develop and hone my social media managing and article writing skills while also getting to work with an amazing group of fellow students.
As part of my professional portfolio class, I completed a two-month internship with VUE Weekly in Edmonton, where I later worked as a freelance writer. While there, I furthered my skills in article writing, interviewing, editing, and research within the entertainment and arts field.
I spent six months as a communications and marketing intern at Stormboard, an Edmonton based tech software company. Currently, I am a program coordinator with a non-profit initiative called Power up the Planet, where I oversee their social media and maintain relations with sponsors. In addition, I freelance for Caregivers Alberta as a blog writer.
